Business Solutions Planning Details

Information Management Roadmap Plan an efficient, business oriented conceptual model for how project investments will be made in corporate information assets over time, to increase asset value and enable information to energize successful corporate initiatives. This includes but is not limited to:

1. Multi year Information Management plans provide a Roadmap for business and technology groups to correctly allocate their resources. The Roadmap provides insight into what has been achieved to date so previous investments are leveraged for future initiatives. At the same time, the Roadmap provides insight into the future as well so we can make decisions today that will be in line with needs in the future.

2. SISG consultants follow a rigorous methodology to devise and create the Information Management Roadmap having taking into consideration both business and technological needs. The Roadmap methodology analyzes the current state of the business, assesses the available Information Management capabilities and defines the future plans to meet the needs of the corporation within their capacity. The Roadmap is an opportunity for the business groups to define the state of the business for the next years and a way to link business goals to specific data driven technological technology initiatives.

Strategic Metric Design - SISG will 'Collaborate' with Corporate Strategic Planners and Industry Experts to negotiate the critical metrics that are quantifiable with transformations of existing corporate data, to be used by management to evaluate company performance.

Application Audit - The team will review of all existing data integration and data warehouse application requirements, models, designs, code, test plans, controls, project methodology, templates and procedures, highlighting gaps, issues and opportunities for improvement, while associating costs of application ownership with derived benefits.

Data Quality Audit - SISG can evaluate relevant source system data, for accuracy, reasonableness and consistency, highlighting quality issues, cleansing needs and data transformation requirements.

Proof of Concept (POC)

Companies should perform Proof of Concept type projects before committing resources to an initiative deemed to be high risk. This risk can be controlled by conducting a relatively short term and minimally funded Proof of Concept, optionally preceded by a Proof of Technology project to insure ' this is all going to work'. This approach prevents surprises (such as budget and scope overruns and subsequent project failure) during later phases of project execution. Details are:

1. SaaS - For example, conducting a POC using Software as a Service (SaaS) on new Cloud Technologies may be a good solution for various types of Self Service Web Application which focuses on providing on demand specific customer business intellegence or analytic sales data. Actual customer data and procedures can be performed in 2-4 weeks, assuring management that the solution proposed has manageable risk and high ROI, before committing to the project.

2. SISG provides POC support on site or offsite, worldwide, all the hardware, software, and support services including Systems Administration, DBA, and Tech Leads necessary to scope, conduct, and reports results on the POC. Results of the POC can then be used to determine fitness of the technology for applications using client data or procedures. After the POC results are evaluated, project approval dates, staffing approach, and funding can then be made based on facts (fact based decision making) not guesses and assumptions. SISG can optionally provide services, free of travel expenses by real time videoconference with multiple management or project teams anywhere in the world from the Chicago IBM Video Conference Center with the capabilities of large Screens, Camera, Voice and Document sharing with any site enabled for Video-Conferencing.
